By this Civil Application, the Petitioner seeks to amend the petition by substituting para 26 in the petition. This substitution is for elaborating the reasons for the delay in filing the petition. The petition, as originally drafted, in para 26 does make averments setting out the basic facts for the delay in filing the petition. However the amendment by substitution of para 26 seeks to elaborate the reasons for the delay.

The petition has not yet come up for consideration. Today also only the civil application is listed.

In the above view, the amendment is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a).

Amendment to be carried out within a period of two weeks from today.
