The Petitioner's grievance was that police did not register FIR No.315 of 2016 for offence punishable under Section 307 of Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for Petitioner and learned APP, both state that an offence punishable under Section 307 of Indian Penal Code has been added to the FIR.

On instructions of Mr.Bhat, API, Shivaji Nagar Police Station, learned APP states that investigation will be conducted and completed expeditiously and within four weeks efforts will be made to file a final report.
