By order dated 28 February 2018 this Court had directed the Respondents to take a decision as regard the representation made by the Petitioner to be disposed of within a period of two weeks. Since the representation was not decided within the time stipulated, the Contempt Petition is filed. Affidavit is filed by the Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Special Assistance Department,

29. CP 353.18.doc Government of Maharashtra tendering an apology and placing on record the reasons why there was a delay in deciding the representation.

We have considered the affidavit. The representation has been decided. The explanation indicates that the delay was not willful or deliberate. Accepting the apology, the Contempt Petition is disposed of.
