This is an application through jail for expeditious hearing of NDPS Special Case No.122 of 2010 pending on the file of NDPS Special Court, Mumbai.

Mr. Joshi, the learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant who is a lady is in custody since 28th January, 2010. He has submitted that the Special Sessions case needs to be disposed of as expeditiously as possible.

Mr. Natarajan, the learned Special P.P. for respondent No.2 submits that the trial has already commenced and that 10

jsn APPLN No.481_2014 witnesses have been examined. The last witness was examined on 4th January, 2016 and that 24 witnesses are yet to be examined. 4.

Considering that the applicant who is woman is in custody since 28th January, 2010, in my considered view, the case is required to be disposed of expeditiously. Hence the learned NDPS Special Judge is directed to dispose of the NDPS Spl. Case No.122 of 2010 as expeditiously as possible and in any event within a period of one year from the date of this order.

The fees of the appointed advocate are fixed at Rs.1,000/-. 6.
