This is an application received through Jail with a prayer to permit the applicant to furnish cash bail instead of solvent local sureties.

The applicant has stated that, despite there being an Order dated 5.2.2018 granting him bail, as he is unable to furnish solvent local sureties, he is still languishing in Jail. He has further stated that, his family members are unable to furnish solvent local sureties in the like amount and therefore, he may be permitted to be released on cash bail. 2.

The record indicates that, this Court by an Order Page- 1

3-appp-986-18.doc dated 5.2.2018 directed the applicant to be released on bail on his furnishing PR bond of Rs.25,000/- with one or two solvent local sureties in the like amount. 3.

As the family members of the applicant are unable to furnish solvent local sureties the, applicant is still languishing in Jail.

In view thereof, the condition to furnish 1 or 2 solvent local sureties is hereby modified and the applicant is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing PR bond of Rs.25,000/- with cash bail of Rs.25,000/- 4.

The condition to furnish 1 or 2 solvent local sureties is hereby modified to the above extent.
