Pursuant to our order dated 11th August, 2023, the petitioners herein have filed a detailed complaint with the Commissioner of Police and have sought police protection for the 1/3

threats extended to them. Learned Counsel for the petitioners also submits that the petitioners will file an appropriate application before the Superintendent of Police, Solapur City and seek Police protection. 2.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioner No.1's statement has also been recorded by the Natepute Police Station, Solapur, on 12th August, 2023, in which, she has stated that she is living with the petitioner No.2 on her own accord. 3.

In view of the aforesaid, learned Counsel for the petitioners does not press this petition and seek leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to pursue other remedies, as maintainable in law, including that of seeking Police protection before the appropriate authority.

The petition is accordingly disposed of as withdrawn with liberty as prayed.

If an application is filed before the appropriate authority, seeking Police protection, the said application to be decided on its own merits.

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the allegations and as such, all contentions of all parties are kept open. 7.

All concerned to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
