The appellant was conferred interim protection from arrest by order dated 7/8/2023 and he was directed to report to the Investigating Officer.

It is informed that he has abided by the said stipulation and upon investigation being completed, the chargesheet is filed. Tilak

2/2 10 APEAL 887-21.doc Learned counsel Ms.Khamkar who is appointed by Legal Aid, make a statement that she contacted the complainant, but he has not given her any specific instructions. In any case, upon the investigation being complete and the charge-sheet having been filed, the custodial interrogation of the applicant is no more necessary. Hence, the order dated 28/7/2023 is made absolute.

The Investigating Officer, PSI Deepak Dhus, who is present in the Court, has also informed the complainant of today's hearing, but he has not chosen to give any instructions to the learned counsel appointed under the legal aid to represent him.

Before parting, I would also like to place on record appreciation for Ms.Trupti Khamkar who was appointed by the Legal Services Authority to represent the complainant and who has rendered effectively. The legal Services Authority shall make payment of remuneration, due and payable to her, within an period of six weeks from today.
