CORAM

:

ABHAY M. THIPSAY, J.

DATE :

8th SEPTEMBER 2015.

P.C. :

Heard.

The applicant is guilty of delay in making this application. He is seeking extension of time to furnish sureties after the time has elapsed long back. However, it is asserted that avk 1/3

the applicant has not committed any breach of the terms and conditions of bail. It is also submitted that three attempts were made to furnish sureties to the satisfaction of the Magistrate, but the attempts failed. A revision application was also filed challenging the Magistrate's order rejecting a particular surety. After carefully considering the matter, I am inclined to condone the lapse on the part of the applicant in not seeking extension of time to furnish a sureties before the expiration of the period. In the circumstances, I am inclined to grant further time of four weeks from today for enabling the applicant to furnish sureties in accordance with the bail order dated 14th August 2014. The applicant shall be permitted to be on cash bail for a period of four weeks from today, within which period, he shall furnish solvent sureties in the amount of bail. It is made clear that this is on the condition that the applicant shall report to the concerned Police station every day avk 2/3

between 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon for a period of four weeks, or till the sureties are accepted, whichever is earlier. The application is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. (ABHAY M. THIPSAY, J.) avk 3/3
