1] The prisoner at Nashik Road Central Prison is seeking order on his categorisation. He has sent letter on 6th July 2018 for that purpose.

2] Learned APP does not have full instructions.

3] As per nominal roll dated 19th July 2018, it appears that till 30th June 2018 he has put in actual imprisonment of 15 years and 16 days. With remission, he had completed 19 years and 25 days. Thus, now he has put in more than 20 years in prison with remission.

12-cri-wp-3597-18.doc 4] In this situation, instead of keeping the matter pending, we fnd that interest of justice would be met by directing the authorities to pass appropriate orders on his categorization within 8 weeks from the date of receipt of this order. If such orders are already passed, the same shall be communicated the prisoner.
