Heard the learned counsel for the respective parties. Vide order dated 8th March 2018 the Division Bench of this court had directed the Collector, Revenue, District Pune to decide the application filed by the petitioner seeking enquiry under Section 6 of the Maharashtra Private Forests (Acquisition) Act, 1975 and the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 as expeditiously as possible and before 31st May 2018. The learned counsel for the avk 1/2
11-WP-13139-2016.doc petitioner submits that in compliance with that direction the Collector has disposed off the same by order dated 31st May 2018, copy of which has been provided by the learned AGP. It is taken on record and marked as Exhibit X for identification. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he intends to challenge the order dated 31st May 2018 by filing a writ petition and / or seek alternative remedy available in law.
Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed off with liberty as prayed.
All contentions in the writ petition are left open for consideration in the appropriate matter.
