By this petition, petitioner is seeking direction to respondent no.2 to register a F.I.R against Sonu Nigam for the offence punishable under Sections 295-A and 298 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The petitioner contends that he has filed report under Section 154(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 to the concerned police station in respect of his grievance on 18.8.2015. However, no action has been taken by the police so far. Shivgan 1/3
Mr. Shinde the learned APP having taken instructions from the concerned police officer makes a statement that statement of the petitioner is recorded on 9.9.2015. He also states that police have written to Cyber cell to find out on whose account twit in question was released and reply is awaited. He states that as soon as police receives the reply, appropriate decision will be taken and will be communicated to the petitioner. He states that entire exercise will be completed within a period of four weeks from today. Statements accepted.
In the above circumstances, grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. Petition, accordingly, stands disposed of.
