A limited grievance of the petitioners in this petition is that in spite of award declared under section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act in respect of the land of the petitioners as early as on 18th June 2014, till date no compensation is paid to the petitioners. Along with this writ petition, a copy of the order dated 17th March 2010 passed in Writ Petition No.1956/2010 is placed on record. If already an award has been made as stated above, we find no good reason for the respondent authorities not to pay the compensation to the petitioners.

In the above circumstances, we direct the respondent authorities to make payment of the amount determined as compensation to the petitioners along with interest, if any, as expeditiously as possible and in any case not later than twelve weeks from today.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
