By this Application, the Applicant seeks the following prayer which reads thus :- "8(a) This Hon'ble Court may be pleased to extend provisional cash bail of the applicant and in furtherance thereof the time to furnish surety may be extended by period of 6 weeks from today as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper."

Perused the papers. Vide Order dated 14.07.2017 this Court (Coram : Prakash D. Naik, J.) enlarged the Applicant on bail. The relevant clauses of the said order read thus;

APPP 809-17.doc "(i) During the pendency of the appeal preferred by the applicant before the Sessions Court i. e. Criminal Appeal No.841 of 2016, the sentence imposed by the trial Court is suspended and the applicant is directed to be released on bail on furnishing P.R.Bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only.) with one or more sureties in the like amount;

(iv) The applicant is permitted to furnish cash security for a period of six weeks in lieu of sureties."

It appears that the Applicant was unable to furnish surety during the said period, and the time of furnishing surety expires on 24.08.2017. It also appears that the Applicant is a senior citizen and is suffering from various ailments.

Considering the aforesaid, the Application is allowed. Time to furnish surety and provisional cash bail is extended by a period of six weeks from today. Accordingly, the Application is disposed of. Parties to act on the authenticated copy of this order. (REVATI MOHITE DERE, J.)
