Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned AGP for Respondent Nos. 1 to 7.

The grievance of the petitioner is that against the order of the Commissioner dated 21.7.2017, the petitioner has filed a Revision before the State Government as per Exhibit "M" along with an application for stay, but till date, the said stay application has not been considered and decided by the State Government.. The apprehension expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that in the absence of any decision on the stay application, there may be mutation of entries in the Revenue Record which may cause prejudice to the petitioner and the land may be resumed to

Having considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the parties and having gone through the orders passed by this Court on earlier occasion and the order passed by the Divisional Commissioner, which is impugned before the State Government, we are of the view that the stay application needs to be decided at the earliest. 5.

In the circumstances, we dispose of this Petition by directing the Respondent No.1 - State to decide the Petitioner's Revision as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Till the Petitioiner's stay application is decided by the 1st Respondent, status quo, as it exists today in respect of the land in question, shall be maintained by the parties.

The parties to remain present before the 1st Respondent on 14.9.2017 at 11.00 a.m.

The Petition is disposed of.
