Learned counsel for the applicant has prayed for a limited relief in this application for directing the respondent no.2 to allow the passport application made by him and which is pending before the passport authority. Learned counsel for the respondent no.2 Shri Singh submitted that due to pending appeal and objection by the investigating agency, the application has not been considered. 2.

In my opinion, there is no legal impediment in considering the application for passport. Accordingly, the 1/2

Urmila Ingale 914-ia-3111-23.doc respondent no.2 - Regional Passport Authority is directed to consider the application for issuance / renewal of the passport of the applicant and if otherwise eligible, the same may be granted/issued for a period of 5 years. 3.

In the event, the applicant is in receipt of the passport, liberty to file an appropriate application for permission to travel abroad. I have not made any observation on request made by the applicant for permission to travel abroad as the applicant is not yet in receipt of a passport. The same shall be considered at the appropriate stage.

The application is partly allowed in the above terms. The Regional Passport Authority to do the needful by rescheduling the dates.

The application is disposed of.
