Perusal of record indicates that, as the Petitioner/Applicant reported 66 days late to the Jail Authority when was released on parole leave, after following the necessary procedure prescribed in that behalf including giving notice to the Petitioner/Applicant, his remission for 330 days by applying the ratio of 1:5 days has been cut by the Competent Authority.

We find that the Competent Authority has not committed any error in complying with the necessary procedure. There is no error in the impugned Order dated 12th April, 2018 passed by the Deputy Inspector General of Prison, Western Region, Pune.

According to us, there are no merits in the Petition and is 1/2
