The prisoner whose conviction has been upheld by the learned Single Judge of this court in Criminal Appeal No. 1329 of 2002 on 09/03/2017 is before this court seeking remission under the remission scheme floated on the eve of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Learned APP submits that the conviction is under section 399 and 402 of IPC. The maximum punishment imposed is RI for three years. We have perused the GR dated 03/06/2017 which regulates the grant of above remission.

We find that the prisoner is entitled to remission of two months.
