DATE : 1st AUGUST, 2019 P.C.

1] The Public Interest Litigation brings forth the problem on non-availability of teachers in schools in tribal areas. Monitoring the Public Interest Litigation since the year 2013, various orders were passed to ensure that the posts of primary and graduate teachers in schools in tribal areas are filled up. The order dated 11th March 2014 records that process to fill up 1000 posts had commenced when an advertisement dated 25th March 2014 would be issued. The Petition came to be tagged with other Public Interest Litigations concerning mal-nutrition of tribal women and children and therefore the issue of appointment of teachers in schools in tribal areas got lost.
