The appellant has been convicted on a trial held by an Assistant Sessions Judge. The sentence of imprisonment is for Seven years. Therefore, in accordance with Clause (a) of subsection (3) of Section 374 of Code of Criminal Procedure, the appeal should lie to the court of Sessions.
