This is an application for condonation of delay in preferring the appeal challenging conviction and resultant sentence. The applicant/accused is reported to be undergoing jail sentence.

(906)APPANo.14402018 Though the delay in preferring the appeal challenging conviction is reported to be one year and thirteen days, the reason for delay is to the effect that the applicant is undergoing jail sentence and there was nobody to look after the work of preferring an appeal. The applicant/appellant is suffering from penury. In this view of the matter, the delay is sufficiently explained.

In the result, the following order :

ORDER

(i) The delay in filing the appeal is condoned.

(ii) The application is disposed of accordingly.
