This application sent through Jail requests for expeditious hearing of the Sessions Case arising out of Crime registered with Nagpada Police Station vide C.R. No. 256 of 2012, for the offence punishable under Section 395 read with 34 Indian Penal Code. Ms. Dabholkar, the learned APP states that the charge against the applicant has already been framed and summonses to the witnesses have been issued. She also produces a report that in addition to the said criminal proceedings against him, there are five more proceedings pending for similar offences and that the applicant is an undertrial prisoner in those cases. In all the above circumstances, the application is rejected.
