IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION WRIT PETITION NO. 8921 OF 2014 Dr(Smt.) Mangala Ramchandra Chinchore ... Petitioner v/s Savitribai Phule University of Pune & ors.
... Respondents Mr.Atul Damle, senior advocate with Rupesh Lanjekar for the petitioner.
Mr.Rajendra Anbhule for Resp. Nos.1 to 3 and 5. Ms.S.S. Bhende, A.G.P. for Resp. Nos.4 and 6. CORAM: SMT. VASANTI A. NAIK & SHRI C. V. BHADANG, JJ.
DATED : 9TH FEBRUARY, 2015 P.C.:
Heard.
By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to extend the services of the petitioner by a period of two years by granting the benefit of the Government Resolutions issued from time to time.
Mr.Anbhule, the learned counsel appearing for the
bsb 2 WP8921.14.doc respondent Nos.1, 2, 3 and 5 states that the proposal of the petitioner was placed before the Committee and it was found that the petitioner had remark "B" in the confidential reports for two years though the minimum requirement is "B+". It is stated that though the petitioner has secured "A" remark in the confidential reports for three years, the remark in the confidential reports for two years is not "B+" and is only "B". It is stated that the case of the petitioner is not recommended in view of the aforesaid position. On hearing the learned counsel for the parties and on perusal of the Government Resolution, we find that the University has rightly declined to grant the benefit of the Government Resolutions to the petitioner. The petitioner has admittedly secured remark "B" in the confidential reports of two years when the minimum requirement is "B+".
Since there is no merit in the writ petition, the same is dismissed with no order as to costs.
