The petitioner prays for transfer from Kalamba Central Prison, Kolhapur to Kalyan Central Prison on the grounds, (a) that he would be in a position to attend to the date in a MCOC Case, in which he would be tried in Mumbai and (b) he would be in a position to meet his wife and children.

Learned APP submits that the jails in Mumbai are overcrowded and petitioner could be provided with the video conferencing

906-cri-wp-3268-16 facility, where he would be in a position to talk with his wife and children. The learned APP submits that petitioner was released on temporary bail and during that period he committed another serious offence. 3.
