The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition inter alia impugning the order dated 15.3.2017 passed by Respondent No. 4 - MHADA cancelling the allotment of Gala / house bearing No. 205, Building No. 5A, 236 MHADA Colony, Varsova, Andheri (W), Mumbai for non-production of Tribe Verification Certificate by the petitioner. The petitioner has in the Writ Petition also prayed that the respondent No. 2 - Scrutiny Committee be directed to consider the verification claim of the petitioner which is pending since June, 2009 and

6 os wp 2888-18.doc forthwith issue the Tribe Verification Certificate. 2.

By an order dated 8.3.2018 passed by this Court, respondent No. 2 - Scrutiny Committee was directed to decide the petitioner's application for validating the caste claim as expeditiously as possible. The said Committee has now passed an order dated 21.6.2019 rejecting the claim of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he will challenge the order dated 21.6.2019 before this Court, however, the order of status quo passed by the Division Bench of this Court dated 8.3.2018 be continued for a period of two weeks.

In view of the order passed by the Scrutiny Committee dated 21.6.2019, the Writ Petition is disposed of as infructous. However, the order passed by this Court dated 8.3.2018 directing the respondent to maintain status quo shall continue for a period of two weeks from the date of this order.
