Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the only prayer made by the learned counsel for the Petitioners is to dispose of the Petition by directing the Respondent No.1 to consider and take appropriate decision in regard to the Petitioners' claim for extending the benefit of Assured Career Progress Scheme in the light of the order passed by the Division Bench of this Court in the case of Kiran Namdeo Shinde and others v/s The State of Maharashtra and others, in Writ Petition No.2358 of 2013, decided on 21st September 2013. VRD 1/2

In view of the aforesaid limited prayer, without commenting on the merits of the matter, we direct the Respondent No.1 to decide the representation with supporting documents within four weeks from today. In case such representation is submitted by the Petitioners before the Respondent No.1, the Respondent No.1 shall examine the Petitioners' case and take appropriate decision in accordance with law and taking into consideration the law laid down by this Court in the case of Kiran Namdeo Shinde and others v/s The State of Maharashtra and others (supra) as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such representation.
