This petition is filed by the Union Bank of India challenging an auction notice issued by the State Government of a property, which was mortgaged with the petitioner bank.

Learned Special Counsel Mr. Sonpal, on instructions, stated that the auction failed as no bids were received. Later on the company also went into liquidation and the Governments has also dropped the auction proceedings.
