From the perusal of the contents of the application filed by the petitioner, it appears that the petitioner was released on parole. Acceding to his further requests for extension of his parole, extension was granted. However, upon completion of the period for which parole/extension of parole was granted to him, the petitioner over-stayed and therefore the concerned authority has reduced the remissions for the over-stay period in accordance with the procedure and relevant rule. In our opinion action taken by the respondent cannot be said to be inappropriate. Hence, writ petition stands rejected.

Registry shall send copy of this order to the concerned Jail Superintendent, who in turn shall communicate the same of the petitioner. (MILIND N. JADHAV, J.) (S. S. SHINDE, J.) Ethape D.A.
