This Petition is filed by an institute who seeks approval for the extension of additional division for LLB three year course to its Law College at Shahapur, District Thane.

As regards the prayer for permitting the Petitioner to admit the students in the third CAP round pending approval process is concerned, we are not inclined to grant the same as it would be contrary to the settled legal position. 2 904 wp 10935 of 2023.doc Petitioner itself has made an application on 28 June 2023 and the Respondent-Bar Council of India will have to scrutinize the same as per the procedure laid down without diluting the quality of the checking process which the Bar Council of India needs to carry out. Therefore, all that we observe is that the Bar Council of India will make an endeavour to dispose of the Application made by the Petitioner at the earliest, after following the procedure and without sacrificing any of the quality norms.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
