The petition is filed seeking to quash the order of detention bearing No.F-67315/99-CUS-VIII dated 29.01.1999. The learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent No.3 placed on record copy of the order dated 15th October 2015 made by the Deputy Secretary to the Government of India. By the said order, the Central Government has, in exercise of powers conferred 1 / 3
upon it under section 11 of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974, revoked the detention order of Sajid Azmat Warsi, brother of the Petitioner. In view of the above order, grievance of the Petitioner no more survives. Petition is rendered infructuous and the same is accordingly dismissed.
