Having heard the learned Counsel for petitioner and the learned AGP for State, we deem it convenient to dispose of the Petition by directing Respondent No. 1 to decide the Petitioner's application for grant of approval under clause (b) of sub section (1) of Section 36A of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966, a copy of which is annexed at Exhibit "A" as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order by passing a speaking order and thereafter, communicate the same to the Petitioner. Ordered accordingly.

Needless to mention that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and Respondent No. 1 shall decide the said application independently on its own merits and in accordance with law.
