We have heard the matter yesterday and inclined to dismiss the same. However, the learned counsel for the petitioners requested to keep back the matter so as to enable him to take instructions from his clients in respect of withdrawal of the petition. At the request of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the matter was kept back in post-lunch session. In the post-lunch session, nobody appeared for the petitioners, therefore, we kept this matter for today. Today also nobody appeared for the petitioners.

The petition is filed for quashing the criminal proceedings bearing C.R.No. 1112 of 2018 registered with Pimpri Police Station, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune against the petitioners for the offences punishable under sections 384, 385, 341, 323 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The petitioners are the police officials from Crime Branch Unit No.1, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune. The allegations are made in the first information report that they demanded Rs.10,00,000/- and extorted Rs.5,50,000/- from the petitioners and an amount of Rs.3,00,000/- from the petitioners' friend Mr.Dhanraj Akodia, totalling to Rs.8,50,000/-. The said amount was demanded and accepted on the premise not to prosecute the first information report. The allegations are serious in nature and, therefore, we are not inclined to entertain the petition.

The petition, therefore, stands dismissed.
