By this application, the applicant seeks condonation of delay of 12 years and 145 days caused in filing the aforesaid appeal.

According to the applicant, no member of his family had taken any efforts to help him in filing an appeal against the judgment and order of his conviction and sentence dated 1st February 2011.

It is stated in the application, that the applicant learnt about Legal Aid being provided by the High Court Legal Services Authority, pursuant to which he approached the authority and requested them to file an appeal on his behalf. 4.

Learned counsel for the applicant states that due to financial constraints and no member of the family supporting him, the applicant could not file an appeal, well within time. 5.

For reasons stated aforesaid, application is allowed and delay of 12 years and 145 days is condoned.

Interim application stands disposed of.
