The grievance of the Petitioner is that as the Applicant is seeking permission to use sound system during the upcoming Ganesh Festival 2018, he had submitted an application for the same. The said application is pending before the Respondent No.2, who according to Petitioner is the competent authority for deciding the said application.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that though Ganesh Festival is scheduled to start on 13/09/2018, but as on date, the decision on the said application has not been taken. Nesarikar

Having regard to the aforesaid, we dispose of the Petition by directing the Superintendent of Police, Kolhapur, to consider the Petitioner's Application if the same is still pending, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, but not later than five days from the date receipt of copy of this order. 4.
