Ms.P.N.Dabholkar, APP for the Applicant.
Mr.S.S.Pramod, Advocate for the Respondent No.1. ....
CORAM : A.M.BADAR J.
DATED : 8th August 2017.
P.C. :
This is an Application for condonation of delay of 14 days in filing an Application for leave to Appeal for challenging acquittal of the non-applicant of offence punishable under Section 7, 13(1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Heard the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the Applicant, so also the learned Advocate appearing for the non-applicant. The learned Advocate appearing for the non-applicant vehemently opposed the Application by contending that there is no sufficient cause to condone the delay of 14 days in lodging the Application.

(19)APPLNNo.5542016 I have considered the rival submissions and perused the Application which is on affirmation. The delay in filing the Application for leave to Appeal is just of 14 days and it is sufficiently explained in the Application. Hence for reasons stated in the Application, the delay in filing an Application for leave to Appeal is condoned.
The Application is allowed.
