1.

Heard. The Petitioner has addressed a complaint to the Joint Commissioner of Police, Economic Offenses Wing, Mumbai Police Commissionerate. The grievance of the Petitioner is that a first information report was not registered. Learned APP submits that the complaint is required to be lodged with the concerned police station instead of Joint Commissioner of Police.

2.

The Petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned police station. In case Petitioner approaches the concerned police station, we direct the officer in-charge to record statement of the Petitioner and take appropriate decision. In case the decision goes adverse to the Petitioner, he will be at liberty to take recourse to alternate remedy as provided under Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. With these observations, the petition is disposed of.
