This is an application filed by the appellant in Criminal Appeal No.54 of 2014 seeking directions to the Passport Authority of India to issue Passport to the applicant to enable him to visit Mecca Shariff on 29th March 2022 and that he would be staying there till 14th April 2022. The applicant submits that unless Passport is issued in his favour he would not be able to travel to Mecca Sharif. It is also submitted that he would be visiting Madina Shariff on 14th April 2022 and would be staying there till 30th April 2022 and he would return to India on 4th May 2022.

The applicant is enlarged on bail by this Court vide order dated 20.02.2019.

Learned Counsel for respondent submits that the Passport Authority would have no impediment in issuing the Passport subject to terms and conditions.

Application is allowed. Respondent/Passport Authority shall issue Passport in favour of the applicant at the earliest and the proceedings be accepted.

Applicant shall deposit the Passport with the investigating agency after he returns from his pilgrimage.

Application stands disposed of.
