The Petitioners have approached this Court being aggrieved by the order for including the names of certain persons in the voters list. 2.

Any interference at this stage would amount to prolonging the election process which is already set in motion, which is not permissible in law laid down by the Apex Court in Election Commission of India vs. Ashok Kumar & Ors., (2000) 8 Supreme Court Cases 216.

In any case, in an election petition, the ground regarding the ineligibility of the persons being included in the voters list can very well be raised by the Petitioners. Writ Petition is therefore rejected. (M.S. KARNIK, J.) (B. R. GAVAI, J.)
