Mr. S.N. Biradar, the learned counsel for the petitioner has placed on record letter dated 21/01/2019 addressed to him by the petitioner wherein the petitioner has stated that they are ready to settle the issue by paying the amount of penalty as agreed by the Inspector General of Registration. The petitioner has instructed the counsel to withdraw the petition with liberty to pursue the matter before IGR. The said letter is marked as 'X' for identification.

In the light of the said letter, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to pursue 1/2

Leave with liberty is granted. Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. By order dated 10/10/2016, ad-interim relief was granted in favour of the petitioner subject to deposit of the amount demanded or furnishing the bank guarantee to secure the amount so deposited. In compliance with the said order, the petitioner has furnished the bank guarantee. Since the petitioner has withdrawn the petition, the interim relief stands vacated and the bank guarantee is ordered to be returned to the petitioner.
