C. :- The show-cause notices issued under Section 111 of the Cr.P.C. giving rise to the Chapter proceedings in question mentioned in para 7b of each of the above Petitions are taken exception to by way of the above Petitions. In terms of the scheme as contained in Sections 111 and 116 of the Cr.P.C., the said notice is valid for a period of six months from the date of commencement of the proceedings as the said proceedings have to be concluded within the said period. In the instant cases, it is an undisputed position that the period of six months is already over. In view thereof, the proceedings in question have lapsed. The said factual position is accepted by the learned APP Mrs. Shinde and the Addl.P.P. Mrs. Deshmukh who are appearing in the above Petitions. In view of the aforesaid, the above Petitions have turned infructuous and are accordingly disposed of as such.
