P.C.:- The Applicant herein has filed this application apprehending his arrest in Crime No.184 of 2018 registered with Silvassa Police Station, District-Dadra and Nagar Haveli for the offences punishable under Sections 120 B, 409, 420, 468 and 471 of the IPC and Section 13(1) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Heard Mr. Balkrishna Joshi, the learned counsel for the Applicant and Ms Purnima H. Kantharia, Special Public Prosecutor for the Respondent -Union of India. Perused the records and considered 1/3

the submissions advanced by the learned counsels for the respective parties.

The records reveal that the Applicant has filed an application for pre-arrest bail, which is pending before the learned Sessions Judge, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the learned Sessions Judge has declined to grant interim relief. However, the application for anticipatory bail is not taken up for hearing. He further submits that the learned Sessions Judge has fixed the application for hearing on 14.9.2018. In the event of the arrest of the Applicant, the application for anticipatory bail will be rendered infructuous.

Hence, the Applicant is granted interim protection till 14th September, 2018 on following terms and conditions :- (i) In the event of arrest of the Applicant in Crime No.184 of 2018 registered with Silvassa Police Station, DistrictDadra and Nagar Haveli, the Applicant be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Investigation Officer.

(ii) The Applicant shall furnish his permanent as well as temporary address, if any, and his contact details to the Investigation Officer.

(iii) The Applicant shall not change his residential address without prior intimation to the concerned Investigation Officer.

(iv) The Applicant shall report to the Investigation Officer as and when required and called by the concerned Investigation Officer.

The learned Sessions Judge, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Silvassa to dispose of the application for anticipatory bail as expeditiously as possible.
