Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner. The present petition is filed seeking quashment of the first information report bearing Crime No.243 of 2014 dated 28th June 2014 registered at Panvel City Police Station, Panvel as well as the proceeding arising therefrom, namely, final report No.I273 of 2016 dated 22nd October 2016.

It seems that order of this Court was subjected to challenge before the Hon'ble Apex Court by filing a special leave petition. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner invited our attention to the order of Hon'ble Apex Court dated 20th July 2021. The same is taken on record and marked "X" for identification. 3.

The perusal of the said order shows that the parties were subjected to a mediation process vide the directions of Hon'ble Apex by SACHIN RAMCHANDRA PATIL Date: 2022.03.22 11:02:21 +0530 patilsr 1 / 2 SACHIN RAMCHANDRA PATIL

Court and the mediation process was successful, bringing a fruitful result; the parties agreed to settle all their disputes. The parties also agreed to withdraw the cases filed by them against each other and pending in the courts in India as well as in USA. The settlement agreement arrived at between the parties is made part of the record. The perusal of the order of Apex Court further shows that the request made by the parties to the Hon'ble Apex Court that decree of dissolution of marriage be passed, was allowed and it was observed by the Hon'ble Apex Court that in view of the settlement reached between the parties, marriage between the parties is dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent; decree be drawn up accordingly.
