By a detailed order dated 21.11.2015, this Court has granted interim protection to the applicant in CR No.233 of 2015 registered with Kasturba Marg Police Station, Mumbai.

The learned APP on instructions submitted that no role apart from what has been stated in the said order has been revealed during the course of investigation. The applicant has acted as a conduit between the accused no.1 Yuvraj Jain and witness Suresh Jain for pledging the stolen ornaments. Apart from the said fact, no other material and/or the evidence has come on record till date. In view of the above, the interim protection granted by order dated 21.11.2015 is hereby confirmed with a further direction that the applicant shall attend the Investigating Officer as and when called for between 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. till filing of the chargesheet. It is needless to mention that before calling the applicant to the Police Station, the Investigating Officer shall issue notice under Section 160 of Cr. P.C. The application is allowed in the aforesaid terms. .
