After arguing for some time, when the Court was not inclined to grant relief in favour of the applicant, learned counsel for the applicant sought leave to withdraw the aforesaid application. 2.

Accordingly, the application is dismissed as withdrawn. However, having regard to the fact that the applicant is in custody since 23rd September, 2014, for almost 7 years, the trial of the applicant is expedited. The learned Trial Judge, to conclude the case of the applicant, as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within six months from the date Wakodikar 1/2

Registry to forthwith communicate the order passed today either telephonically/fax/e-mail to the learned Judge, of the Sessions Court at Panvel, who is seized of the Sessions No. 142 of 2019, so as to enable the learned Judge to take appropriate steps.

Learned APP to inform the aforesaid order to the concerned prosecutor appearing in the trial Court in the said case, so as to ensure that no adjournments are sought on the next date. Learned Counsel for the applicant to also ensure that no adjournments are sought, so that the learned Judge can commence with the trial expeditiously. 5.
