This is a petition filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act,1996 whereby the petitioner has prayed for extension of time by eight months to enable the arbitral tribunal to complete the arbitral proceedings and publish an award.

It is submitted that the cross examination of the witnesses is in progress. The petitioner prays that the mandate of the arbitral tribunal be extended by eight months.

Having perused the averments in the petition, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal to conclude the arbitral proceedings and publish an award is extended for a period of eight months. Ordered accordingly. 4.
