The main prayer made by the Petitioner is a direction to the Respondents to finally assess the Petitioner's Bills of Entry and consequent thereupon release the bank guarantee and the bonds. Grievance of the Petitioner is that, even thought the order of release has been passed there is a gross delay in making the final assessment.

WP 9815.19.doc The learned Counsel for the Respondents submits that there are reasons why this delay has occurred and without going into those aspects, he states that he has received instructions that the order of Final Assessment of the concerned Bills of Entry would be passed within three months from today.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that he is satisfied with this statement and prays that the order be passed after giving due hearing. Needless to state that the order will be passed as per the Rules and the law.

Accepting the statement of the Respondents as above, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
