IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION WRIT PETITION NO. 6769 OF 2016 Rajaram Arjun Patil ..Petitioner.

Versus

The Joint Registrar Co-operative Societies and Others.

..Respondents.

Mr. K. S. Patil for the Petitioner.

Mrs. R. A. Salunkhe, AGP for the State.

Coram : Ranjit More & Smt. S. S. Jadhav, JJ.

Date : September 11, 2017.

P. C. :

1.

Mr. Patil, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner at the outset makes a statement that he is restricting this writ petition to the relief claimed in prayer clause (a). By the said prayer clause, the Petitioner is seeking direction to the Respondents to decide his application expeditiously. The prayer, in our view, is innocuous. We, therefore, deem it convenient to dispose of this writ petition by directing Respondent No. 1 to decide the Petitioner's representation dated 31st August 2015, copy of which is annexed at Exhibit- A to the petition, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within the period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.

2.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into merits of the matter and Respondent No. 1 shall decide the said application / representation of the Petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law.
