The applicant, by the judgment and order dated 13th July, 2016 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ratnagiri in Sessions Case No. 28 of 2015, has been convicted under sections 307, 332, 353 and 506(2) of Indian Penal Code. For the offence under section 307, the applicant has been sentenced to imprisonment for life. Being aggrieved by the conviction and sentence, the applicant has preferred Criminal Appeal No. 645 of 2016 and Criminal Application No. 1202 of 2016 for bail. 2.

The prayer of the applicant in the present Application is that in his Appeal as well as his Bail Application, an advocate from the legal aid panel be appointed to represent him. In view of the prayer made by the applicant, we appoint Advocate Mr. Prosper D'souza, who is on the panel 1 / 2
