By the present Petition, the Petitioner had prayed that his trial in MCOC Special Case No. 5 of 2017 be expedited, as he is in jail since 14th October 2016.

Learned A.P.P., on instructions from Jailor, Thane Central Prison, Thane submitted that, the trial of the Petitioner has already been commenced and as of today the Prosecution has examined one witness. As per his instructions, the prosecution may examine 7 more witnesses in support of its case.

As the trial of the Petitioner has already commenced, the prayer of the Petitioner has been worked out.

Petition is accordingly disposed off.
