P.C.
The learned APP has tendered across the bar a copy of the report dated 25th April, 2016 addressed to him by the Assistant Police Inspector attached to the Tulinj Police Station, District - Palghar. It records that the First Information Report alleging the commission of offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 474 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered. In view of the registration of the FIR, nothing survives in this PIL and the same is, accordingly, disposed of. However, we make it clear that the issue whether PIL is maintainable is expressly kept open.
