In Crime No. 380 of 2017 for an offence punishable under Sections 333, 353, 504, 506 read with Section 34 of Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 7 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, the Applicant is seeking regular bail. The Applicant was arrested on 7th April 2018 and is chargesheeted.

Mr. Joshi, the learned Counsel for Applicant would urge that the Applicant is behind the bars from almost a year and as the investigation in the matter is completed, his further detention is not justified.

The learned APP opposed the prayer.

Upon perusal of the chargesheet it could be prima facie inferred that there are eye-witnesses to the incident in question. The Applicant is a history sheeter, as there are more than eight offences registered against him.

As such, no case for grant of bail is made out. Hence, the Criminal Bail Application stands rejected.
